How a project works
No surprises on price and no guessing on the result. You see a drawing before we cut a single board.
Visit and measure
We come to your home, talk through what you want and take every measurement ourselves.
Drawing and quote
Within a week you get a scaled drawing and a fixed written price. Nothing starts until you approve both.
Built in our shop
Most of the work happens in our shop, so your home isn't a job site for weeks.
Install and clean up
We install, adjust everything until it's right and leave the room cleaner than we found it.
A small shop that does it properly
Alder & Plumb started in a two car garage in 2011 and now runs out of a 3,000 square foot shop with a crew of four. We take on fewer jobs than a big outfit, and we're on site for every one of them.
We build with solid wood and good plywood, we use joinery instead of staples, and we answer the phone when you call.

Do you charge for quotes?
No. The visit, the measurements and the written quote are free, with no obligation to go ahead.
How far ahead are you booked?
Usually four to eight weeks for larger projects. Small repairs can often be fit in sooner.
Do you handle permits?
For decks and structural work we prepare the drawings and apply for the permit on your behalf.
Do I need to pay a deposit?
We take a deposit when you approve the drawing, so we can order materials. The rest is due when the job is finished and you're happy with it.
