Terms of Service

These terms apply when Keep Your Lead ("we", "us") builds a website for you ("you", "the client"). Keep Your Lead is a sole proprietorship registered in Ontario, Canada.

1. The service

We design and build a website for your business, register a domain name for it where you need one, publish the site on Netlify and then transfer the website, the domain and the hosting to you. The pages and features included are the ones we agree on with you in writing before work starts.

2. Price and payment

The price is $300 CAD plus applicable taxes, paid once. Payment is due after you have reviewed and approved the site and before the handover. There are no recurring fees payable to Keep Your Lead.

3. What you provide

You give us the information the site needs, such as your business details, services, logo and photos. You confirm that you have the right to use everything you send us, and that the information is accurate.

4. Review and changes

You see the site before handover and can ask for changes to it. Work requested after handover, or work outside what was agreed, is quoted separately.

5. Handover and ownership

Once payment is received we transfer the domain into your name and move the site into a Netlify account that you own. From that point you own the website and its content, and you control the domain and hosting.

Domain transfers depend on the registrar's process and can take some time to complete. We start the transfer promptly and help you through the steps on your side.

6. After handover

After handover you are responsible for the site, including:

  • renewing the domain with the registrar each year
  • any charges from Netlify or other providers you choose to use
  • the content of the site and keeping it accurate and lawful
  • updates, backups and security of your accounts

We do not provide ongoing hosting, maintenance or support unless we agree to it separately.

7. Third party services

The domain registrar and Netlify are independent companies with their own terms and pricing, which can change. We do not control those services and are not responsible for their availability or for changes they make.

8. No guarantee of results

We build the site with care, but we do not promise any particular search ranking, number of visitors, enquiries or sales.

9. Cancellation

You can cancel at any time before you approve the site, and you will not be charged. Once payment is made and the handover has started, the fee is not refundable.

10. Limit of liability

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for anything connected to the service is limited to the amount you paid us. We are not liable for indirect losses such as lost profit or lost business.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario and the laws of Canada that apply there.
